The app runs on iPhone, iPad, Android, and the web. On native devices, the available window size determines whether it shows a compact or wide layout.
Native layout
A native window uses the wide layout when it is at least 520 dp wide and 600 dp tall. Smaller windows use the compact layout, with navigation between views in place of side-by-side panes. The rule applies to iPhone, iPad, Android tablets, and foldables as their windows change size.
An iPad at full screen has room for the wide layout. In a narrow Split View slot, it switches to the compact layout and switches back when the slot widens. The app supports Split View, Slide Over, and Stage Manager without a separate setting.
Web layout
The browser window controls web layout. At 1024 px wide, the inbox switches to a side-by-side view and the header keeps its actions inline. Narrower windows use the stacked inbox and move those actions into the chat. The task view keeps its panes at every browser width.
